Here are answers to commonly asked questions that may help you.
What is so special about New Beginnings Training Center’s CPR training?
NBTC’s CPR training professionals offer high quality American Heart Association certified training with multiple unique services including onsite or offsite training, online registration, instructor with 40+ years medical and teaching experience, large and small group accommodations, customized training to your industry, high quality real life equipment, first aid kits sales, and more. We love to teach and it shows!
Is there a minimum or maximum number for your classes?
NO. We can certify small or large groups. When there are large groups, we will increase our number of instructors to still give that small group feel.
Do you hold classes at an offsite location?
YES. We offer multiple group classes in the NYC area. Please call us for available dates. This is great if you have only 1 to 2 individuals that need training.
Do you provide all the equipment necessary for the training?
YES. We own our equipment and can provide everything for the class. This helps us to accommodate last minute classes or other special circumstances that meet your needs.
Are there any additional charges?
NO. Manuals, masks, and barriers are included in the base price when applicable. Additional ones can be ordered for a small charge.
How long are the classes?
Classes range from 2-8 hours, depending on the type of training needed and the size of your group. Most classes average 3 hours.
When will we get our CPR/First Aid card? How long does the card last?
Generally within 2 weeks after your class. Special arrangements can be made if necessary. All cards are good for 2 years.
What if I book a class for 20 and only have 16 attend on the day of the class?
You may change your participant number up to 24 hours before your class and you will not be charged for those people.
What type of payment do we accept and when is it due?
We accept cash, check, and all major credit cards. We prefer to receive payment 2 weeks in advance. Special arrangements can be made.
If my certification is expired, do I recertify or requalify?
You may recertify within 30 days of your expiration date. After 30 days you must take the full course again.
How long is my certification valid?
The certification is valid for 2 years.
How long before I receive my card?
Within 2 weeks after course completion.
Will you provide documentation for my job?
Yes. We will provide a course completion letter verifying that you have successfully completed the course.
